Officials say a backyard storage shed caught fire, causing an explosion that was heard for miles. The cause of the blaze is undetermined.

Reports began circulating around 4:45pm, with residents from Houston to Katy to Fulshear describing a loud explosion, a bright flash, and in some cases a slight shake.
