Ed Milliband has advised landlords to serve warmer beer to save money. Venues have been told to avoid unnecessary electricity use. Advice is to switch off bottle fridges overnight, according to the Energy Secretary. Pubs, restaurants and hotels soon could receive access to a new free energy saving and carbon reduction tool. This comes after a spike in energy prices, due escalating tensions in the Middle East. Up to nearly £170 million a year added onto pubs running costs, according to reports.
