Comedy is an important part of the British ballet tradition and of theatre full stop. Ashton, Cranko and Bintley are all well known for their comedic work, but Sir Kenneth MacMillan was a superb choreographer of lighter moments too. The Alaskan Rag (or 'Big and Little' as it is known in the industry) is the perfect example of MacMillan on fine humorous form.
