Short hops suck! Try this to never have your relay and cut offs get stuck with a short hop. Follow these steps. 1. Turn glove side. This allows your cut off guy to get his feet moving and into a throwing position. Don’t do this too early, otherwise you might catch them back pedaling. Wait until the ball is thrown, move into position, and then turn glove side. 2. Read the trajectory of the ball. 3. Either step towards the ball to get a no hop or shuffle away from the ball to get a long hop. Best
