Transference is when we replay old emotional stories in new relationships. We start dating our parents emotionally..trying to fix what broke us. It’s your nervous system saying, “Maybe this time I can win love or finally be seen.” Spoiler: that never works. Here’s how it starts.. In childhood, we map our nervous system around our caregivers. If love was inconsistent, we learned hypervigilance. If affection was conditional, we learned performance. If criticism was constant, we learned shame. So n
