After Florida, he was selected 3rd overall to the San Francisco 49ers. August 29, 1970: On this day 54 years ago, the Miami Dolphins defeated the Baltimore Colts 20-13 in a preseason game at the Orange Bowl. It was the first time new Dolphins head coach Don Shula faced his old team.The game drew a near capacity crowd--the largest to watch a Dolphins home game at the time.
