David Bell, Director of the Building Safety Engineering Environmental Department (BSEED), has done it all in the carpentry industry. Starting as a laborer, Bell soon saw that the industry had much more to offer. He decided he wanted to be a carpenter. After completing the carpenter apprenticeship program, he saw endless opportunities and took advantage of them. Bell went from a carpenter apprentice to a housing inspector with the building department, then building inspector, supervising building
