Hurricane Laura is strengthening and forecast to be a major hurricane at landfall tonight
Hurricane Laura is rapidly intensifying and is now a MAJOR Category 3 hurricane, as of the 11AM update from the National Hurricane Center. Maximum sustained winds are up to 125 mph and Laura will only grow stronger over the next several hours. At 11am yesterday, Laura had just become a hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.
