"Rowdy" Roddy Piper receives his Most Hated Wrestler of the Year trophy for the second year in a row in Mike & Gene LeBell's NWA Hollywood promotion back in December of 1978. In typical "Hot Rod" fashion, Roddy would return to the ring after Chavo Guerrero received a beautiful gold watch for being Fan Favorite of the Year. Using the timekeeper's hammer (normally reserved for ringing the bell), Roddy would smash the watch, earning the ire of Chavo, the fans in attendance, and "Count" Billy Varga
