This was my cottage tulip quilt that I started at Woodland Ridge retreat just using up my ‘leftover cut parts’ from my “parts department of extra pieces” that I had and just was making crazy blocks to use up the parts. I loved it so much I’ve made it into a lap quilt. Next I thought well, probably have a few more sample cottage tulip blocks at home ~and I did. Soooo, I could make easily make this quilt larger by only making two more blocks…and so now I am back to making it a BIG bed Quilt.. that

Have you ever made a quilt in the past that you can’t stop thinking about? Well, that was me with this project. I made the Quilt as a graduation gift in 2009 and thought “oh I need to make one of those for myself” even if it’s 17 years later… and you make it with just straight set blocks versus on point blocks like the original. 🤣 no time like the present to jump in and finish that Quilt! …And look at all that space beautiful quilting!! Adding a few more details to my herringbone baby quilt…. This cute little bear sitting on a patch of grass. He needs a little bit more details that I’m going to add and then I can get it quilted and HOPEFULLY get it done before the baby arrives. !! Go big or just make a lap quilt? Today I’m working on getting a few more blocks made for my “Traveling Hearts quilt”, using woven fabrics…This quilt is gonna be so cozy when it’s finished! ~ I might just make this a lap quilt. ~Not king size, can you believe it?
