Getting to rescue turtles while they’re crossing the road isn’t uncommon, and for me it’s especially not uncommon for the turtles in question to be Eastern Box Turtles (Terrepene carolina). I’ve come across these turtles countless times in the middle busy roads with many of these times me being too late to reach them.
